IgG antibodies: Also called immunoglobulin G, and one of the more commonly present antibodies with a critical presence for fighting infection; also present in myeloma cells. immunoglobulin: These are also called antibodies, which are the immune system's response to foreign bacteria and viruses as well as the protection against cancer cell growth. International staging system (ISS): Formerly called the International Prognostic Index (IPI) and is an important tool in treating multiple myeloma with testing to determine Stages I, II and III as well as recognizing recurrent myeloma.
Isolated plasmacytoma: In some cases, plasma cells can mass into a single tumor and may not be evidence of cancer on its own, but may eventually lead to multiple myeloma.
